As a follow up to my previous post, the BBC is reporting today that North Korea will continue to cooperate with the United States on ending its nuclear program.
After three days worth of talks between U.S. special envoy Stephen Bosworth and North Korean officials, the country’s foreign ministry said North Korea would work with the US to “narrow remaining differences”.
The outcome of the talks comes as a surprise, as expectations for positive negotiations were low at the start of the series of meetings. According to the North Korea foreign ministry however, “the two sides were able to deepen mutual understanding, narrow differences in views and find considerable common ground. A series of mutual understandings were also reached on the need to resume the six party talks,” which Kim Jong-il had previously truncated.
Historically, the six party talks aimed to develop a peaceful resolution to concerns about international security which stemmed from the escalation of North Korean nuclear weapons program. The series of meetings took place between six nations: the People’s Republic of China; the Republic of Korea (South Korea); the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea); the United States of America; the Russian Federation; and Japan
Special envoy Stepehen Bosworth is now due to fly to Tokyo, Beijing and Moscow to brief officials from the other nations involved in the six-party talks before heading home, reports the BBC article.

This is a place where Norht Korea could be Put in China’s hands if China wants to Establish Good Relations with the West, by Negotiating the Peaceful Reduction of Weapons Grade Plutonium as well as Uranium 239 till it no longer is Refined. By removing the Centrifuges that produce this Grade of Fuel and Having China Verify the Reduction to Non Nuclear weapons Grade Fuels for North Korea, this would establish a Good Relation with China and solve North Korea’s Problems with the West also. Then Norht Korea should be Monitored by The U.S. as well as The A.S.E.A.N.’s, verifiable by China as well to secure the mOnitoring problems as well as The Compliance Problems too. The Alliance Proceeds for the Movement would Greatly Comply with The Non-proliferation Treaty too.
Injustice and the cruelty of the Europe and the USA:-
There has been a lot of injustice being done to the nations in the history and USA has broken all of the records by adopting a policy which is an open hypocrisy against the palestinian people who have been displaced from their own lands and the ones who been thrown out of the Europe were settled in the Palestine and they name it Israel, i mean this is a barbaric example of Injustice being done by the West, USA and Israel, anyways the creator of this whole unibverse is observing every thing and the time is very soon when a revolution will replace all crule and injst establishments with the righteous and the Just ones. Websites are always helpful in one way or the other, anyways, mortgages a good way to get started to renovate your dreams into the world of reality.
Thanks
Micheal,
Hi Neshani,
Thanks for update, though I don’t share your sense of surprise upon reading this.
“Narrowing the differences” is standard procedure for Kim Jung-il and his diplomats: they vacillate between keen interest in a new multi-lateral framework and spasmodic acts of brazen defiance (ICMB’s and nukes come to mind). And they slyly extract commitments of aid along the way. They know this works because it has before - many times.
In my opinion, this is classic case of same wine, different bottle. I’m not surprised at all.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the matter. I look forward to further discussions of the N. Korean nuclear negotiations in the future. I’ll be sure to post my own takes at the East Asia blog here at FPB.
Cheers,
David
