FPA contributing blog editor Neshani Jani holds a Masters degree in Media Culture and Communication from New York University and dual Bachelors degrees in Anthropology and Spanish Literature from the University of California, Davis. She is currently interning with the Foreign Policy Association and formerly interned with the CBS News program 60 Minutes. Neshani has a background in independent and public radio and has worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Scientific Analysis and at the Social Science Research Council. She is interested in issues surrounding human rights, foreign policy, press freedoms and democracy studies and is currently co producing a documentary on immigration detention in New York City.
